Is your startup investable? Covering both sides of the table!
What makes a startup investable? At this special TechBBQ edition of PreSeed Academy we’re covering early stage funding from both the founder and investor side of the table!
– And as a special treat we’re given out a limited number of free tickets to TechBBQ.
TechBBQ – Denmarks tech summit for and by the startup community – is without a doubt the place to meet future investors and strategic partners, and there’s no reason to let the pressure get to you. In this StartupTalk we’ll help you nail the challenge of attracting your first investment by ticking all the right boxes with the investors.
And we got a very special line up of speakers who are ready to help you:
– Jon Lieberkind is the CEO at Grandhood, which recently announced a major funding round from PreSeed Ventures and SEED Capital Denmark, and he’ll talk us through the lessons learned during the fundraising processes in each stage of building Grandhood. What did they do right (and wrong!) in the process, and what are the vital tactics and strategies in his playbook?
– Alexander Viterbo-Horten is Investment Manager in PreSeed Ventures. Alexander will share insights on startup funding seen from the investor perspective. What are the major ground rules you just can’t break? And what seperates the interesting from the less interesting cases in the mind of an early stage investor? This is your change to get in the head of an investor before you’re sitting on opposite sides of the table.
– Nicolaj Højer Nielsen is our trusted partner in crime at PreSeed Academy but he’s also a business angel and author of the Startup Funding Book. Nicolaj will tie the talks together, and try to look at startup funding in a larger context to help you understand how to improve your chance of getting funding from either a business angel or early-stage investment fund.
13.00-13.10: Nicolaj Højer Nielsen – introduction to the basics of early stage funding
13.10-13.25: Jon Lieberkind, CEO, Grandhood: An experienced founder’s critical learnings and key tactics for raising your first investment
13.25-13.40: Alexander Viterbo-Horten, Investment Manager, PreSeed Ventures: How do you make an investor interested and what rules are unbreakable?
13.40-13.45: Wrap up with Nicolaj Højer Nielsen
13.45-14.30: Join the speakers at the PreSeed Ventures booth to ask all your questions and share a beer. (The booth is G7)
The event is at TechBBQ stage 2 and begins at 1 pm sharp.
OBS! As mentioned we are handing out a selected number of TechBBQ tickets giving you the opportunity of attending both our StartupTalk as well as all of the other valuable events at TechBBQ. We can’t make space for everyone so you need to register at Eventbrite but it won’t mean you have secured a space. We’ll send a confirmation email to the people who gets a ticket. If you have signed up but do not show up, we will invoice you 200 kr in no-show fee.
Hope to see you on September 24 at Øksnehallen!
