We dedicate the first PreSeed Academy event of 2019 to Marketing Automation.
We take a closer look at the processes and software behind automating marketing actions – from lead generation via e-mail, social media to customer onboarding. To do this we introduce a whole new type of talks at PreSeed Academy called ToolTalks. The goal is to get nerdy and dirty – in other words it’s talks where we strive to be very hands on and practice oriented within a specific topic.
We kick off with Marketing Automation, which is probably one of the most hyped areas within the startup world. For good reason since it offers the opportunity to dramatically improve your marketing effectiveness.
But how do you do it in real life? How can you, as a startup with limited resources, exploit the possibilities of Marketing Automation?
We will try to answer this question, by sharing expertise and advice on the topic from two experts within the field: May Laursen from T-bone Saas Growth Advisory and Caragh Kennedy from Hubspot. Hopefully we can help you build a blueprint for marketing automation in your startup.

– May Laursen is Co-founder and Advisor at T-bone Saas Growth Advisory that specializes in creating scalable and revenue-driving go-to-market plan for tech startups. She started at Falcon.io back in 2013 and was a part of the journey going from 20 to 200 employees as Marketing Operations Manager and Head of Product Marketing. Lately she has been Head of Marketing and Business Development at Zetland.
– Caragh Kennedy is dedicated to helping Incubators & accelerators assist their startups to develop and implement successful inbound sales/marketing strategies. Through problem-solving, creativity and organizational skills, she helps startups achieve their inbound goals and overcome sales/marketing challenges. Prior to HubSpot, she spent her time in the Spanish start-up world. Where she both ran her own & worked in the space. Passionate about getting Startup objectives into tip-top shape!
