It’s easy to namedrop a few of the world’s biggest apps and platforms, such as Facebook, IMDb, YouTube, etc. These examples have been successful in attracting and retaining users to their platforms. In this video Nicolai Højer Nielsen sets up the basics of how you can attract a critical mass of users to your app or platform, enabling you to taste the sweet benefits of the network effect, while also introducing what the complications of this business model are.
