Understanding the landscape of early stage startup funding (Aarhus)
One of the most common questions from startup founders is: From where can I get funding to my startup?
Startup funding is black box for many founders and we are therefore dedicating the next PreSeed Academy to demystify the topic! We will be covering multiple startup funding perspectives to give you an overview of the funding landscape both from a founder, Investment Manager and business angel. We give you the opportunity to get a close look at the engine room of an investor – how do they think, what are their investment criteria, what do they expect and what turns them off. But you also get the chance to be on the other side of the table. The founder side, where you sit right next to an experienced entrepreneur who’s been through the whole process of finding the first funding for an idea to running a business that recently raised €13m – how did he go about it, which tactics did he apply and what is a solid funding strategy in the different stages?
For the first time ever, PreSeed Academy is held outside Copenhagen. This StartupTalk on funding will be organized in both Aarhus (April 4th) and Copenhagen (April 3rd).
This invitation is for the Aarhus event. If you want to attend in Copenhagen then follow THIS LINK.

– Anders Bach Waagstein is Tech Investor in PreSeed Ventures. Anders will share insights on startup funding seen from the investor perspective, more specifically from the perspective of PreSeed Ventures, the early stage investment fund behind PreSeed Academy. What are the major ground rules you just can’t break? And what seperates interesting from less interesting startups in the mind of an early stage investor? This is your change to get in the head of an investor before you’re sitting on opposite sides of the table.
– Ken Villum Klausen is Founder and CEO at Lunar Way. He will share the lessons they learned trying to get funding for their business. What do you need to be aware of and what pitfalls are you likely to drop into on your journey towards funding? Ken will help you on your way towards killing the big and frightening beast that funding is.
– Nicolaj Højer Nielsen is our trusted partner in crime at PreSeed Academy but he’s also a business angel and author of the Startup Funding Book. Nicolaj will tie the talks together, and try to look at startup funding in a larger context to help you understand how to improve your chance of getting funding from either a business angel or early-stage investment fund.
